Alipurduar District Magistrate is inviting applications for the positions of Office Assistant and Surveyor through a walk-in interview. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to attend the interview on the specified date.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Office Assistant:
  • Provide administrative support to the District Magistrate’s office.
  • Manage and maintain office records, files, and documents.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Perform data entry and basic computer tasks.
  • Assist in handling phone calls and inquiries.
  • Any other duties assigned by the District Magistrate.
  1. Surveyor:
  • Conduct surveys to collect data and information.
  • Utilize surveying instruments and tools to measure and record data accurately.
  • Prepare survey reports, maps, and charts.
  • Assist in land measurement and mapping activities.
  • Collaborate with the survey team to ensure efficient survey operations.
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations while conducting surveys.
  • Any other duties assigned by the District Magistrate.

Qualifications and Requirements:

For Office Assistant:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Prior experience in office administration is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Must be fluent in the local language.

For Surveyor:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Sound knowledge of surveying techniques and instruments.
  • Proficient in using surveying software and applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
  • Physical fitness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Prior experience in surveying or related field is preferred.
  • Must be fluent in the local language.
