The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Breeding Checker as part of its 2023 recruitment drive. As a Breeding Checker, you will play a vital role in monitoring and ensuring the proper breeding and care of animals under PCMC’s purview. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular checks and inspections of breeding sites to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor breeding activities and record data related to animal breeding, population, health, and behavior.
  • Collaborate with veterinary and environmental experts to ensure the health and safety of breeding animals.
  • Implement measures to prevent the spread of diseases and parasites among breeding animals.
  • Educate breeders and the public about responsible breeding practices and animal welfare.
  • Prepare detailed reports on breeding activities, population trends, and breeding site conditions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of breeding management plans and strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in animal husbandry, biology, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in animal breeding, care, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and welfare.
  • Excellent observation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with breeders, colleagues, and the public.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
