Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
    • Oversee and manage CBSE’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, government regulations, and internal financial policies.
  2. Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    • Provide financial insights to senior management to facilitate strategic planning.
  3. Audit and Compliance:
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual financial audits.
    • Ensure adherence to audit recommendations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  4. Team Management:
    • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement within the finance department.
  5. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to the CBSE management and board.
  6. Vendor Management:
    • Manage vendor relationships and negotiations to optimize procurement and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial management, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of government financial regulations is a plus.
