District Health and Family Welfare Office (DHFWS ) in Kolar is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individuals for the position of Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisor (STLS). The selected candidate will play a vital role in the implementation of tuberculosis control activities in the district. This is a contractual position, and the appointment will be made through a walk-in interview process.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the overall functioning of the Tuberculosis Laboratory and ensure adherence to the quality assurance protocols.
2. Supervise and guide laboratory technicians to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis of tuberculosis cases.
3. Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of laboratory activities, including external quality assessment (EQA) and proficiency testing.
4. Maintain laboratory records, registers, and reporting formats as per the national guidelines.
5. Ensure proper storage and inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents.
6. Provide technical support and training to laboratory staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
7. Coordinate with the District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO) and other stakeholders for effective implementation of laboratory services.
8. Participate in district-level meetings, workshops, and trainings related to tuberculosis control.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc MLT) from a recognized university.
2. Minimum 3 years of work experience in a recognized laboratory, preferably in the field of tuberculosis.
3. Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures related to tuberculosis diagnosis and quality assurance.
4. Familiarity with the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) guidelines and laboratory network structure.
5. Proficiency in using computers and basic software applications.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
