Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) is currently seeking applications for the position of Project Assistant. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with research activities and project implementation under a specific project. This is a temporary position and is project-based.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the implementation of research projects as per the project guidelines.
2. Collect and compile data related to the assigned project.
3. Conduct fieldwork, including data collection, sampling, and monitoring.
4. Assist in laboratory work, analysis, and documentation of research findings.
5. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on project activities.
6. Collaborate with team members and project investigators to achieve project goals.
7. Follow safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork and laboratory work.
8. Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs related to the project.
9. Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in the field.
10. Perform any other duties assigned by the project investigators or superiors.

Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry/Botany/Environmental Science or any relevant discipline from a recognized university.
2. Experience: Prior experience in fieldwork and research projects will be preferred.
3. Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the position is 35 years (as of the date of the interview).
4. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis software.
5. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Malayalam.

Selection Process:

The selection process will be based on a walk-in interview conducted by the Kerala Forest Research Institute. Candidates are required to bring their original certificates and a copy of their resume at the time of the interview.
