KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) is hiring candidates for the position of Conductor through its 2023  recruitment drive. The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers on KSRTC buses. The job involves collecting fares, issuing tickets, helping passengers with their luggage, maintaining order and discipline on the bus, and providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collecting fares from passengers and issuing tickets
• Ensuring that all passengers have a valid ticket before boarding the bus
• Helping passengers with their luggage and assisting them in finding seats

Qualification:

• Possess a valid conductor license issued by the Regional Transport Office (RTO)
• Minimum education qualification of 10th pass or equivalent from a recognized board

Skill:

• Good communication skills in the local language (Kannada) and English
• Ability to handle cash and maintain accurate records
• Knowledge of basic computer skills would be an added advantage
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job

Selection Process: The selection process will consist of a written test, skill test, and interview. The candidates who clear the written test will be called for the skill test, which will include ticketing, accounting, and other related tasks. The candidates who pass the skill test will be called for the interview, which will assess the candidate’s communication skills, customer service skills, and other related attributes.

Salary and Benefits: Selected candidates will be offered a starting salary of Rs. 10,000/- per month. Other benefits include medical insurance, provident fund, and gratuity. Additionally, employees will be eligible for paid leave, including casual leave, sick leave, and earned leave.
