Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate MPSRTC vehicles, including buses and other designated vehicles, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
2. Ensure the safety of passengers, fellow motorists, and pedestrians while driving.
3. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or repair requirements and promptly report issues to the appropriate authorities.
4. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned vehicles, both inside and outside.
5. Observe and report any accidents or incidents that occur during the course of duty.
6. Assist passengers in boarding and alighting from vehicles, providing helpful and courteous service at all times.
7. Plan and execute routes efficiently, ensuring on-time arrival and departure of scheduled services.
8. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and resolve them in a timely manner.
9. Cooperate with fellow drivers and staff members to maintain a harmonious work environment.
10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant transport laws and regulations.

Requirements:

1. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) issued by the appropriate transport authority.
2. Minimum age of 21 years and a maximum age of 45 years (age relaxations may apply as per government rules).
3. Proven track record of safe driving with a clean driving record.
4. Physical fitness and the ability to handle long driving hours.
5. Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations applicable to commercial drivers.
6. Strong sense of responsibility and dedication to passenger safety.
7. Good communication skills and the ability to interact with passengers in a friendly and professional manner.
8. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
9. Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per operational requirements.
