We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the positions of Clerk and Ticket Collector for the Railway Department in Allahabad, India. As a Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining records, data entry, and performing general office tasks. As a Ticket Collector, you will be responsible for selling tickets, assisting passengers, and ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience.
- Maintaining records and performing data entry
- Responding to customer inquiries and providing assistance
- Performing general office tasks such as filing and organizing documents
- Communicating effectively with other departments and team members
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all work performed
- Selling tickets to passengers and processing payments
- Assisting passengers with their travel needs and answering questions
- Ensuring all passengers have valid tickets and are properly seated
- Ensuring safety and comfort of all passengers during travel
- Communicating effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth travel experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
