The Van Vibhag Uttar Pradesh (Forest Department) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Forest Guard. The job involves protecting and conserving the forest resources of Uttar Pradesh. The selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining the ecological balance of the forest, preventing illegal activities like poaching, encroachment, and unauthorized felling of trees, and conducting patrols and inspections of the forest area.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Protect and preserve the forest resources of Uttar Pradesh.
2. Monitor and report any illegal activities like poaching, encroachment, and unauthorized felling of trees.
3. Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the forest area.
4. Participate in forest conservation and regeneration programs.
5. Maintain and repair forest infrastructure and equipment.
6. Assist in forest fire prevention and control activities.
7. Educate and create awareness among the public about the importance of forests and their conservation.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a citizen of India.
2. Should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
3. Should be physically fit and able to undertake arduous tasks.
4. Should have a good understanding of forest ecology and conservation.
5. Should be proficient in Hindi and/or English.
6. Should have a valid driving license for motor vehicles.

Age Limit: The candidate must be between 18 and 27 years of age as of 01/01/2023. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
